• Allocate resources efficiently to meet project and operational needs.

• Develop and implement strategies for the procurement, installation, maintenance, and management of instrumentation systems.

• Prepare and manage budgets for instrumentation projects and maintenance activities.

• Oversee instrumentation projects from planning through execution, including new installations, upgrades, and system integrations.

• Coordinate with other departments, contractors, and vendors to ensure project goals and timelines are met.

• Lead and manage the instrumentation team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.

• Provide guidance and training to ensure the team stays current with technological advancements and industry best practices.

• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability of instrumentation systems.

• Oversee complex troubleshooting efforts and ensure quick resolution of instrumentation issues.

• Identify potential risks related to instrumentation systems and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.

• Manage incidents and emergencies related to instrumentation and control systems to minimize impact on operations.

• Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation of instrumentation systems, maintenance activities, and project records.

• Prepare and present reports on instrumentation performance, maintenance activities, and project status to senior management.

Education Level

• Bachelor Degree in relevant field such as Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related discipline.

Requirements

• 10 years or more of experience in instrumentation.
• Understand various types of sensors (e.g., pressure, temperature, flow, etc) and transducers used in industrial applications. Proficiency in PLC, DCS, SCADA, and other control systems. Knowledge of calibration procedures and tools for ensuring accuracy and reliability of instrumentation.
• Familiar with communication protocols (e.g., HART, Modbus, Profibus, Fieldbus) and integration of different systems. Understand network architecture, data transmission, and network security related to instrumentation systems.
• Analyzing data from instrumentation systems to monitor performance and diagnose issues. Skills in identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies in system data to optimize performance.
• Competence in planning and executing instrumentation projects, including resource management and scheduling. Skills in working with vendors and suppliers for equipment procurement, installation, and support.
• Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., ISA, IEC) and regulations related to instrumentation and control systems. Understand safety protocols and procedures for working with instrumentation systems, including hazardous area classifications and explosion-proof equipment.
