About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Securities Settlement Analyst to support end-to-end settlement operations across global securities markets. This role is responsible for settlement processing, reconciliation, Nostro investigations, custody operations, operational risk management, and project initiatives while ensuring accurate and timely trade settlements.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Securities Products, ICSD/CSD settlement processes, Custody Operations, Reconciliation, and Stakeholder Management, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Front Office, Clients, and Senior Management.

Key Responsibilities

Securities Settlement Operations

• Process and authorize settlement instructions for securities transactions.

• Perform pre-matching activities and manage Repo and Triparty transactions.

• Ensure timely and accurate settlement through major ICSD/CSD platforms including Clearstream, Euroclear, and BNY.

• Monitor settlement status and resolve outstanding settlement issues.

Reconciliation & Investigation

• Investigate and resolve Nostro open items and reconciliation breaks.

• Perform daily reconciliation activities and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.

• Process custody invoices and maintain accurate operational records.

• Handle client queries and complaints with professionalism and efficiency.

Operational Risk & Governance

• Manage operational risk activities and ensure compliance with internal control frameworks.

• Prepare Management Information (MI) reports for Senior Management.

• Support documentation for new markets, products, and operational processes.

• Ensure compliance with Group Risk Management Framework, AML policies, and regulatory requirements.

• Escalate outstanding settlement issues in accordance with escalation policies.

Projects & Process Improvement

• Participate in automation and digital transformation initiatives.

• Lead or support cross-functional projects to improve operational efficiency.

• Participate in system implementation testing, including weekend support during production go-live.

• Support internal training and knowledge-sharing initiatives across the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree, Postgraduate Degree, or MBA in Finance, Banking, Business, Accounting, or related disciplines.

• 6–8 years of overall experience, with at least 2 years of hands-on Securities Settlement experience.

• Good understanding of Securities Products and settlement lifecycle.

• Experience managing settlements through Clearstream, Euroclear, BNY, or other ICSD/CSD platforms.

• Experience with Nostro investigations and reconciliation activities.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage Front Office, Clients, and Senior Management.

• Experience managing projects, automation initiatives, and cross-functional teams is highly preferred.
