-Assist the Plant Manager in overseeing all plant operations, ensuring production goals are met and safety standards are adhered to.
-Manage day-to-day operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and logistics.
-Ensure the timely delivery of products while managing plant efficiency and optimizing resources.
2. Team Leadership s Supervision:
-Supervise and coordinate the activities of plant supervisors, operators, and maintenance teams.
-Foster a collaborative environment to ensure effective communication and high-performance standards.
-Conduct training and development programs to ensure team skills are up-to- date and align with plant objectives.
3. Quality Assurance s Compliance:
– Ensure that production processes are compliant with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
– Work closely with quality control teams to monitor product quality and implement corrective actions when needed.
– Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all plant operations.
4. Safety s Environmental Management:
– Promote a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
– Lead initiatives to reduce risks and improve workplace safety.
– Ensure the plant meets environmental standards and sustainability goals.
5. Process Improvement:
– Monitor and analyze production data to identify opportunities for process improvement.
– Implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize waste.
– Collaborate with other departments (engineering, procurement, HR) to optimize plant performance.
6. Budgeting s Cost Control:
– Assist the Plant Manager in preparing and managing the plant’s budget.
– Track expenses, control costs, and optimize resource allocation.
– Evaluate and recommend capital investment plans to improve plant capacity and capabilities.
7. Reporting s Communication:
-Provide regular updates to the Plant Manager on plant performance, production output, and challenges.
-Assist in the preparation of reports for senior management, detailing key metrics such as production targets, cost savings, and efficiency improvements.
-Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
8. Problem-Solving s Crisis Management:
– Address any operational issues that arise promptly and ensure proper action is taken.
– Lead root cause analysis to identify recurring issues and implement long- term solutions.
-Take charge of emergency situations, ensuring effective resolution with minimal disruption to operations.
