Job Functions
Management

– Lead procurement, sourcing, and purchasing functions, including supplier selection, quality management, and pricing negotiations.

– Review and improve procurement processes, monitor inventory, and analyze market trends to implement innovative procurement strategies

– Develop and implement procurement strategies for raw material and packaging used by the production team, aligning with company plans and market trends.

– Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve current procurement processes and drive the best practices across departments.

– Manage the approved supplier list—direct and indirect; evaluate supplier performance based on quality standards, delivery time, best price negotiation, and service.

– Ensure all procurements are recorded properly and comply with applicable regulations and department’s standard practice (SOP).

– Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation in the system.

– Support the Halal/QA team in communicating with local and overseas suppliers regarding complaints and returns as and when needed.

– Identifying the key supplier, materials, and services required to support company and strategic business unit strategies

– Supervise junior staff, provide procurement training, and prepare reports on purchasing performance for management

– Coordinate with material planners to ensure alignment with production schedules and forecast demand.

– Collaborate with production, R&D, and marketing teams to support new product development and optimization of existing formulation

– Manage governance and control programs to ensure business continuity, protect company assets, and comply with corporate and regulatory policies

– Handle other ad-hoc matters from time to time assigned by the superior.

Education Level

  • Degree holder or equivalent expertise, and detailed knowledge of ERP System.

Requirements

  • Knowledge in GMP, HACCP, HALAL and ISO FSSC 22000 is an added advantage.
  • At least 5 years of working experience in procurement in the FMCG industry or in food manufacturing or supply chain.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Independent and able to manage various stakeholders, good communicator with strong interpersonal skills
