Job Responsibilities:-

Primary Objective of Position

  • Sales Up
  • Profits Up
  • Market Shares Up

Duties & Responsibilities

Sales (Internal)

  • Sales Report: Provide accurate sales estimation and able to explain sales changes of own customers by checking with customers production regularly
  • Market survey by checking with customers on competitors information like price and demand
  • Support Accounts Department by providing information like Profit Variance Report
  • Make accurate Dainittei by getting customer Business plan or other useful information [mid-level of proficiency]
  • Request environmental data from Japan and reply customers’ queries
  • Issue Quality Claims to QA and reply to customers promptly
  • Prepare and assist Superiors on cost down simulations reports to make recommendations & provide useful information [mid-level of proficiency]

Sales (External)

  • Provide best customer service/support and build up good relationship with key persons (Visits/Entertainment/Others)
  • Price and cost down negotiation with middle management/key persons successfully
  • Attend to customers promptly on quality claim issues and feedback to QA correctly; try to settle minor cases by self sometimes
  • Conduct monthly consignment (VMI) stock take and settle discrepancies accordingly

Mindset

  • Possess positive attitude and optimistic mindset in dealing with customers and internal staff at all times

Leadership

  • Lead by examples to level up Sales morale and staff motivation within RSS
  • Mentor and coach: Assist to conduct on-the-job-training (OJT) to new staff on customers visit and educate junior staffs on system and products knowledge

Promotion

  • Promote to customers by VA/VE parts from Approved Vendor List (AVL) and design-in new parts for new models (Customs & Std LSI/Discrete OPM [mid-level of proficiency]
  • Develop and explore new markets/customers to expand sales
  • Participate in mini-Ceatec exhibitions [mid-level of proficiency]

Skills

  • Provide all complete set of 5tools for customers [mid-level of proficiency]
  • Knowledge of ROHM standard/custom products and able to promote using Short Form (SF)/Catalog/Cross-ref tables/Tech Note (inclusive of competitor product and comparisons) [mid-level of proficiency]
  • Explore new technologies from competitors or in market and share them with internal sales

Documents

  • Issue Quotation Judgement Sheet (QJS)/ cost simulations for new parts/cost downs and official reply to customers
  • Support Sales Admin (SA) on sample requests and special request (New item/Limit samples)
  • Work closely with SA on Account Receivable (AR) to settle outstanding payments (Price dispute)
  • Explore uncultivated markets and issue New Development Form (NDF) [mid-level of proficiency]
  • New account opening and issue Opening Customer Application/Registration Form

Reports

  • HO-REN-SO reports as requested by Manager and above
  • Submit monthly/weekly reports on Production/Promotion/Market/Others
  • Report Sales activities regularly through SPIN

Deliver Control

  • Work closely with SA to negotiate with customers and internal departments (Sales/DC/ASEAN/PC factory) on critical items to prevent line stop
  • Handcarry to customer or from factory if required
  • Slow moving/dead stock control. Negotiate with customers and other Sales to consume slow moving stock
  • Make accurate Dainittei planning and adjust Chunittei promptly and issue urgent forecast/trade-off if required

Sales Support

  • Support and work harmoniously with SA in solving problems faced in their activities (QJS/Samples/ARAA/GRS/Claims/Delivery etc.)

Job Requirements:-

Person Specifications

Possess a Diploma or Degree in Electronics Engineering

Minimum 1 year sales knowledge in Semiconductor or Electronics components

Possess strong analytical abilities, good interpersonal and negotiation skills

Self-motivated, able to work independently

Able to withstand work pressure and customer’s demands

Able to correspond in writing with customers and internal staff

Possess a valid class 3 driving license
